Amazon to Remove Cashierless System from Grocery Stores

Amazon.com Inc. is making the decision to remove its cashierless Just Walk Out technology from grocery stores, signaling a retreat from its ambitious system designed to allow shoppers to skip the line. The company will be removing the system as it remodels existing Fresh grocery stores and will not feature it in new locations that are set to open later this year, according to an Amazon spokesperson.
