Salesforce’s $63B Revenue Target Hinges on Faster Organic Growth

The $63bn goal implies about 10.8% annual growth from the midpoint of FY27 guidance. FY27 headline growth is 11%-12%, but slightly more than three points come from Informatica, leaving the current organic run-rate below the long-term hurdle.

Salesforce is already guiding to roughly the headline growth rate needed to reach $63 billion of revenue by fiscal 2030. The problem is composition: slightly more than three percentage points of its 11%-12% FY27 growth guide come from Informatica.

The company reaffirmed the $63 billion-plus target at its September 16 investor session. The goal itself dates to February, when Salesforce raised it after incorporating Informatica. From the midpoint of current FY27 guidance, about $46.25 billion, the target requires roughly 10.8% compound annual growth for the following three fiscal years.

Strip out the disclosed Informatica contribution and the present organic trajectory sits in the high single digits, before the pending Contentful and Fin acquisitions. Management expects organic growth to reaccelerate in the second half. The long-term target needs that reacceleration to persist rather than being replaced by another layer of acquired revenue.

The leading indicator is stronger than the current organic rate

There is evidence for improvement. Salesforce guides to roughly 14% third-quarter current remaining performance obligation growth, and that cRPO guidance excludes the pending Contentful and Fin deals. cRPO is not revenue, but it is a better near-term demand indicator than dividing two distant revenue targets.

The margin side also matters. Salesforce maintains a 34.3% non-GAAP operating-margin guide for FY27 while targeting a fiscal 2030 profitable-growth framework of 50, defined around growth plus margin. If organic revenue remains near high single digits, today's margin profile does not get the company to that framework. Either organic growth has to rise materially, margin has to expand further, or both.

Cash flow makes the tension more visible. FY27 operating and free-cash-flow growth are currently guided at only 4%-5%, below revenue growth. Salesforce is also using large repurchases, including a $25 billion accelerated share-repurchase program, to reduce share count and support per-share economics. Buybacks can improve the per-share result; they do not substitute for the organic revenue acceleration needed to reach $63 billion.

Agentforce and Data 360 are central to management's growth case, with combined ARR of about $3.9 billion reported in August. That number shows material scale, but it should not be treated as $3.9 billion of wholly incremental new revenue because Data 360 includes an existing business and the combined metric does not isolate displacement or cannibalization elsewhere in the portfolio.

Salesforce is already producing the reported growth rate implied by FY30; it is not yet producing the same rate organically. The 14% cRPO guide gives management evidence for reacceleration, but the $63 billion plan still asks organic growth to move from high single digits toward low double digits without giving back the margin framework.
