Scrut Automation, a San Francisco-based start-up, has announced the successful raise of $10 million of growth capital to address the challenge mid-sized businesses face in managing governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) responsibilities. Co-founded by Aayush Ghosh Choudhury, Kush Kaushik, and Jayesh Gadewar, Scrut Automation focuses on providing a middle way for businesses struggling with their GRC responsibilities. The company's software platform aims to automate the collection of data and provide greater visibility of the organization's GRC performance, enabling the GRC team to implement remediation measures where necessary. Unlike enterprise-grade solutions, Scrut's alternative can be implemented within two to three weeks, customizable to the organization’s needs and designed with specific practice areas for regulated industries. Since its launch in 2021, Scrut has achieved annualized revenue growth of 350% and gained over 800 customers. The recent fundraising round led by existing investors Lightspeed, MassMutual Ventures, and Endiya Partners brings the total amount raised to over $20 million. With a focus on further research and development, Scrut is also leveraging artificial intelligence technologies to support compliance work.
